Does Overwatch 2 run well on PC?
It runs exceptionally well on PC. In fact, even with a half-decent PC that brings just the bare minimum system requirements to the table, you'd still have more fun playing the title on a PC than a console.
Of course, the performance is fantastic if you have a high-end gaming PC. Let's be real, aiming with a keyboard and a mouse is not just easier but also more accurate than using a console. Actually, even with aim assist, a console can't measure up to the combination of a keyboard and a mouse.
On top of that, if you have a system specifically built for Overwatch 2, you can expect 100 fps or even more. Now, that's what's called phenomenal performance.
The thing is that console users all have to struggle with the same/standard fps, graphics, and resolution. But, with a gaming PC, you can get 4k resolution plus the processing power that will make your playing experience faster and feel smoother.
About Overwatch 2
A multiplayer as well as first-person shooter tactical game developed by Blizzard Entertainment, which enables players to fight off villains in an online battle arena.
It took 4 years for Overwatch 2 to finally make it to the market after it was announced in November 2018.
Each player gets to control 3 heroes with the powers to attack, protect and heal teammates. The heroes have 3 roles:
- Support heroes who heal and buff allies and teammates.
- Offense heroes who handle direct physical attacks on the enemy.
- Tank heroes protect their teammates by neutralizing incoming attacks.
While Overwatch 1 allowed for the formation of 6-player teams, this was cut down to 5 players to offer a faster gaming experience. But, the odd number of team members created matchmaking issues
So, a "Ping" feature was included in Overwatch 2 that allows players to call out where the team should focus all its resources. The "ping" feature also allows players to see how much healing their teammates got through a round.
Overwatch 2 can be played in both 5v5 as well as 1v1 versions. The title has 35 playable characters as well as newer maps. As far as game modes go, you can opt for arcade, casual, quick play, or ranked.
As a beginner, you can start in the cooperative mode, which allows you to choose any of the game's heroes and battle it out with AI-controlled enemies. Of all the modes the game offers, the competitive mode is the most popular; it pitches two 5-player teams against each other.
